Our Story
From it’s creation in 2011, Midnight Mechanics has become one of the most sought after bands to book for any function. Drawing on different musical influences and with a wealth of live experience, you can be assured of a very professional service offered by Lee, Gary and Hector.
Lee is the guitarist and vocalist of Midnight Mechanics, he also has his own solo career and has been a past member of Acquiesce, Not to Fall and HdM.
Gary has been in bands since his teenage years, so in excess of 40 years, how much experience do you need? Gary plays bass and guitar and is also vocalist with Midnight Mechanics and has been a past member of Zeuss, Raw Deal, Gus and the Gasman, Johnny one bite, The Bikini Brothers, Hired Gun and Not to Fall.
Hector joined the band at it’s inception and his wealth of drumming experience has been invaluable to the band’s sound and style. Hector has been a member of various Spanish bands including Aquitipartis and Little Less.
Midnight Mechanics are the perfect fiesta band, we have played at ferias and motorcycle rallies, weddings and private functions. We can supply references and are one of the only legal bands on the Costa del Sol. Our main work is for weddings and we work with local Nerja wedding planners.
Lee and Gary also play in an acoustic pop/rock trio ‘The Box Drum Band’. Some venues cannot accommodate a rock band so this new path was forged to allow us to gig in the smaller places. As the name suggests, the drum kit has been replaced by a cajon and percussion, instruments are acoustic but plugged in to a PA system but gone are the Midnight Mechanics Marshall and Blackstar amplifiers.
